LILIES AND RAVENS / Journal / 5.5" x 8.5"

Inspired by Luke 12.27-31

Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?

And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to your life.  

Don't worry, be happy .... easier said / sung than done in this crazy world because there is plenty to worry about. So, how do we calm the anxious mind? Scripture says we can't possibly be as beautiful as a lily, or well fed as the ravens and God intentionally designs / takes care of them. If He does it for the birds and  owers, won't he do it for us? His Word promises to give us peace when we seek Him. Maybe it's time to turn off the screens.

Lots of action and movement in this painting .... my brother Charles says it looks like it's under water ... but all those little circles ... I'm pretty sure, they are birdseed :)
